CSI Security Awareness Peer Group

A robust security awareness program is one of your organization's most powerful protection strategies.

If you sometimes feel like you're the only person at your organization who believes in the importance of awareness, then it's time to re-energize yourself and your awareness program by spending two or two and a half days with your security awareness peers—people willing to share their experience and help each other.

Meet with your counterparts from other organizations—awareness specialists who will tell you what they've tried, how much it cost, what problems they encountered, and how they fine-tuned it for the future. And come prepared to tell a little about your own program efforts or plans.

Attendees will set their own agenda for the Peer Group meetings, facilitated by Tom Peltier. Here are a few of the items tackled at a previous meeting:
  • Measuring the effectiveness of your program
  • Integrating the security message into other departments
  • Pushing the message up to executives
  • Project management process for awareness programs
  • Keeping the message fresh
  • Event reporting as awareness tools for management
